There are 12 tenses in English in this lesson we are going to learn about uses of simple future tense.

Definition of Simple Future Tense

 

Under the title of uses Simple future tense, Simple future tense is used to talk about an action that action haven’t happened yet that means that action will be happen in the future.

Sentence pattern of Simple Future Tense

Under the title of uses Simple future tense,

S + Will + Base verb(BV1)

I + will + Base verb

He + will + Base verb
She + will + Base verb
It + will + Base verb
Singular Subject + will + Base verb ( Teacher will)

We + will + Base verb
You + will + Base verb
They + will + Base verb
Plural Subject + will + Base verb ( Teachers will)

Short Forms

I will – I’ll
we will – We’ll
You will – You’ll
They will – They’ll
He will – He’ll

It will – It’ll

Question / Interrogative sentence of Simple Future Tense

Under the title of uses Simple future tense,

To turn a sentence into a question we have to write, the auxiliary verb of that sentence should be written before the subject.

In simple future tense, the auxiliary verb or helping verb is “Will”.

Now, we will convert the above ten sentences into interrogative sentences.

I will come to school tomorrow.
Will I come to school tomorrow?

We will go to the beach next week.
Will we go to the beach next week?

You will help me in the future.
Will you help me in the future?

They will play cricket after five days.
Will they play cricket after five days?

It will be on time in the coming days.

Therefore, according to the above examples, to convert a sentence into an interrogative sentence in English, the helping verb in that sentence must be written before the subject of the sentence.

Negative sentence of Simple Future Tense

Under the title of uses Simple future tense, to convert a sentence into a negative sentence in English, the word “Not” must be added with the auxiliary verb in that sentence.

I will not come to school tomorrow.

You will not help me in the future.

Here we can say the word “will not” as “won’t” in short form.

Interrogative or question sentence of negative sentence

Under the title of uses Simple future tense,as we have already learned, to convert a sentence into an interrogative sentence, we need to write the helping verb before the subject.

Accordingly, we will convert the above ten sentences into interrogative sentences.

I will not come to school tomorrow.

When we write “won’t” in a negative sentence, we must write “won’t” before the verb to make it a question.
